Professional Leagues

Folks, IIRC there have been two professional baseball leagues. At least it was so in 2001. Regretfully I don't know the current situation. But until 2001 -First a professional league was settled. -Because of the reason I forget another league was settled. Then there were two leagues and 10 teams. Those two league had no relationship, nor game between themselves. -Then a nationwide financial problem occured and both leagues faced a financial problem. -In a bigger league a scandal occured like Blacksox case. At last two teams disappeared.

I think we should redirect all Taiwanese professional baseball articles here since 1) this article is not long, 2) this article already covers many of the core informations. What do you guys think? --Will74205 10:07, 2 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Hmm...I don't think that it's a bad idea, but the problem is that this format could confuse users as well as impede the expansion of the topic(s). My suggestion is that this topic be broken up into 3 topics: Professional baseball in Taiwan (or just Baseball in Taiwan), Chinese Professional Baseball League, and Taiwan Major League. There should be enough information on the web to expand each topic to acceptable standards. But that's just my opinion. -- Asdf1248 14:25, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

At the very least, I would like to see a separate CPBL article, since it's the active "major" league. This article could easily encompass the history of various leagues but that one could address that league in particular. Rolando 13:18, 30 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
