This should be merged into orbit: all orbits are conic sections, with elliptical orbits as the norm, and circular and hyperbolic orbits as special cases.
- And while you're at it, physics geniuses, please rewrite the moon orbit explanation so a layman like me can understand it. Does the earth-moon pair orbit the sun together, or what? If a huge sphere revolves around a point inside itself is that called an "orbit" or a "wobble"? --Ed Poor
