[edit]Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.
That photo of "countryside" is pretty subpar. It's a parking lot.
Two fond du lacs as well as a north fond du lac
[edit]I've lived in FDL all my life adn there is not a city Fond du Lac and a town Fond du Lac and a North Fond du Lac all in the relative same spot. There is a Fond du Lac with 40,000+ people and a North FDL with like 4,000 but I don't know where the third Fond du Lac(town)with 2,000 people came from.... There is the City of Fond du Lac, and the City of North Fond du Lac. Everything remaining in the township where the two cities are located is a legal entity know as the Town of Fond du Lac. Yup. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 143.235.146.217 (talk) 21:39, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
- One of the reasons I like about Wikipedia is the WikiProject Wisconsin. I love Wisconsin history especially with the cities, villages, towns, and unincorporated communities in Wisconsin. Each city, town, village, county, unincorporated community, in Wisconsin has their unique, special history.Thank you-RFD (talk) 21:55, 10 December 2007 (UTC)
Important Geographic Feature
[edit]Someone should add in a bit about the "escarpment" that runs through western Fond du Lac County (near Oakfield). It is a high point where rivers on the west and south sides of the feature flow towards the Wisconsin and Mississippi Rivers. Rivers north and east of the point flow toward the lakes and eventually to the Atlantic. I don't want to add it cause I don't remember the official name of this land feature; several years since elementary school. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.117.3.110 (talk) 18:50, 30 March 2009 (UTC)
