Modern Life is Goodish

[edit]

There should probably be more about this show. I'll get around to it eventually if nobody else does, but consider this a request in the meantime. --Walnuts go kapow (talk) 09:43, 23 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

citogenesis of pacific rim hitchhike

[edit]

in January 2014 someone added a claim that he did a hitchike around the pacific rim. This was later repeated in a newspaper, but has no basis other than the unsourced wikipedia claim and is denied by Dave https://twitter.com/DaveGorman/status/730351115368271873 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Alanbelllibertus (talkcontribs) 11:24, 11 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks. I have added this to Wikipedia:List of citogenesis incidents.--Shantavira|feed me 10:04, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Does anyone have the newspaper? Does anyone have evidence the newspaper got it from wikipedia? Otherwise it's not citogenesis. What it is is an unsourced claim in a BLP. I've removed it, mostly for the crocodile thing that seems entirely unsourced. SPACKlick (talk) 12:53, 23 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
The hitch-hiking claim was introduced on 1 January 2014 by this edit. The citation of the 9 September 2014 edition of The Northern Echo that reported the claim was added by this edit. It is of course possible that the Northern Echo's source was unconnected to Wikipedia. Verbcatcher (talk) 00:16, 25 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Dave originally grew his beard to raise money for Red Pandas but liked it so much he decided to keep it. 95.147.5.199 (talk) 22:14, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You need to provide a reference from a reliable source for this edit to go ahead Neiltonks (talk) 22:34, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Distant relations

[edit]

I've deleted "On an episode of Taskmaster, Gorman revealed that he is distantly related to Hollywood actor Cary Grant." How is this encyclopedic? It was just a throwaway comment. Everyone is distantly related to millions of people.--Shantavira|feed me 17:19, 10 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
