I am going to go ahead and move Virginia Woolf above George Woolf. Goingtoalaska 02:40, 9 October 2007 (UTC)
Do we really need/want redirects for last names of famous people?--Samuel J. Howard 21:15, 2 May 2004 (UTC)
Possibly not - but certainly when there are two Wikipedia entries for different people with the same surname, the surname should bring up a disambiguation page rather than a redirect to just one. ;)
That depends on how notable the two are; if one is well-known and the other obscure, one can be the main entry with a see also... header pointing to the other - if both are equally well-known, it is customary to disambiguate AFAIK. --carlb 20:44, 1 April 2006 (UTC)
