Justification for including this page as part of Socialism in America
[edit]Can someone explain why this page has been made part of the series on Socialism in America? Nowhere in the content of this article is socialism, or even communism, substantively mentioned. And for good reason. It's an excellent article, in my view, that shows what the Yippies were--not ideological at all, in fact quite outspokenly anti-ideological. It seems ignorant, if not tendentious, to label the Yippies in this way. If someone can't provide logical justification for this inclusion, I would like to have the article removed from that series, on grounds of historical and intellectual accuracy. Post-Left?
[edit]I don't think the Yippies were really post-left. The concept didn't exist until later in the 70s, and Hoffman's background in Critical Theory makes me skeptical that he would have ever considered himself that way. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2600:4041:3A5:B500:6118:EC74:C250:2E00 (talk) 13:44, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
high times/tom forcade affiliation
[edit]I believe something should be written about High Times founder Tom Forcade's affiliation with the yippies.
Yeah. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 142.161.30.72 (talk • contribs) 04:31, 4 June 2007
