Inability to and link to French-language entry?
[edit]I tried to add the French entry to the side of the article (which redirects to the entry "Affaire Calas",), being surprised that it isn't on there yet, but an error message appears and prevent me from saving the change: "Could not save due to an error. The link frwiki:Affaire Calas is already used by item Q28650272. You may remove it from Q28650272 if it does not belong there or merge the items if they are about the exact same topic." Does anybody know how solve this problem? E-Ping Rau (talk) 08:47, 8 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]I've removed the link to "wheel" as the article on "Wheel" at present makes no mention of the instrument of execution.--172.189.144.24 04:04, 27 Oct 2004 (UTC)
Guilty or Not Guilty?
[edit]My encyclopedia (Stora Focus, in Swedish, the article on Voltaire) says later examinations once again cast doubt that maybe Calas after all was guilty. I add that to the article. / Habj 22:29, 29 November 2005 (UTC)
- Someone seems to have deleted your remark from the article. Anyway, the Catholic Encyclopedia also says "there are weighty reasons to doubt [Jean Calas'] innocence" and cites Charles Barthélemy's Erreurs et mensonges historiques, Vol. 2 (1876). Muzilon (talk) 02:27, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
"Vigneire" or "Viguière"?
[edit]Is there any particular reason why the governess' surname is spelled here as "Jeanne Vigneire", as opposed to "Jeanne Viguière"? Syphrose (talk) 13:33, 21 August 2023 (UTC)
