I do not think that that picture is of Infanta Cristina, Duchess of Palma de Mallorca. I believe that is her sister Elena. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ck12k10 (talk • contribs) 04:43, 15 December 2007 (UTC)
Doña Cristina is Infanta of Spain not Grandee of Spain as it was written. Her children of course are Grandees of Spain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.173.160.175 (talk) 02:03, 26 December 2009 (UTC)

Infanta Cristina, Duchess of Palma de Mallorca → Infanta Cristina of Spain – King Felipe VI of Spain recently stripped his sister's royal titles and honours away from her. Therefore, she should not be called "Duchess". George Ho (talk) 03:08, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support. With her title of Duchess stripped, this page name is no longer appropriate. Note, only this title is being removed, she has returned to being "Her Royal Highness the Infanta (Princess) Doña Cristina" as of midnight June 12, 2015 Spanish time. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Metheglyn (talk • contribs) 04:13, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support. Since the King removed the title she is no longer the Duchess, hence, the article needs to be renamed. EOZyo (мѕğ) 12:52, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

- Accoring to article 6 of the Royal Decree 1368/1987, on 6 November, on the regime of titles, treatments and honours of the Royal family and the Regents, I have resolved to revoke the attribution to HRH Infanta Doña Cristina's power to use the title of Duchess of Palma de Mallorca, which was granted her by Royal Decree 1502 / 1997 , on 26 September. So I have it by the present Royal Decree. Felipe R. The President of the Government, Mariano Rajoy Brei.--Heralder (talk) 13:56, 12 June 2015 (UTC)

- Support It's clear she no longer is 'Duchess of Palma de Mallorca'.JezGrove (talk) 19:08, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support Title lost and no fathomable possibility of it ever returning '''tAD''' (talk) 20:03, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- I came here to do just this, but seeing as there is a MR then yes, support. That title is not coming back. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 22:07, 12 June 2015 (UTC)
- Of course, support. She is no longer the Duchess of Palma de Mallorca and won't possibly be ever again. Just out of a technicality, she'd rather be "Cristina, Infanta de España" than the obsolete style "Infanta Cristina de España", but "Infanta Cristina de España" is commonly accepted and used. --MaeseLeon (talk) 00:32, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- Very weak oppose Maybe WP:COMMONNAME applies here?--The Theosophist (talk) 02:16, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- I don't think so. Her common name as used in Spain is plainly "Infanta Cristina". Nobody talked about her as "Duchess of Palma de mallorca", except in an official position. I don't think that she was known as "Duchess of Palma de Mallorca" rather than "Infanta Cristina of Spain" anywhere else. --MaeseLeon (talk) 20:39, 16 June 2015 (UTC)
- Support. She lost her title. Tokiohotelover (talk) 15:46, 17 June 2015 (UTC)
Cristina Federica?
[edit]I don't understand this new choice of name after being stripped of the Dukedom of Palma. Nobody in Spain (or elsewhere as far as I know) talks about her as "Cristina Federica", which is part of a quintuple-barrelled given name (Cristina Federica Victoria Antonia de la Santísima Trinidad), while her surnames are "de Borbón" (because of her father) and "y Grecia" (because of her mother.) I would suggest "Cristina, Infanta of Spain" (her official style, removing the "HRH") or the former "Infanta Cristina of Spain" or her "non-royal" name "Cristina de Borbón y Grecia" (as in the Spanish Wikipedia.) But "Infanta Cristina Federica of Spain" sounds unusual. MaeseLeon (talk) 17:23, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- The move should be undone, since there was already a discussion around it, and I agree that "Cristina Federica" is against WP:COMMONNAME in this case. But now I'm involved so I'll let someone else move it back, then the move can be done by whomever closes the discussion. §FreeRangeFrogcroak 17:39, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
- I undid the move. Now wait for an administrator to do this. --George Ho (talk) 22:35, 13 June 2015 (UTC)
