Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/French nuclear testing
French nuclear testing was proposed for deletion. This page is an archive of the discussion about the proposed deletion. This page is no longer live. Further comments should be made on the article's talk page rather than here so that this page is preserved as an historic record. The result of the debate was to redirect the article to France and weapons of mass destruction.
Redundant as France and weapons of mass destruction describes the French nuclear testing. I don't think this should be a redirect as this is a non-searchable title. Also, France and weapons of mass destruction is well-linked. Delete. utcursch 09:32, Nov 8, 2004 (UTC)
- I disagree. A redirect to France and weapons of mass destruction will do no harm. - Mike Rosoft 09:55, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Redirect to France and weapons of mass destruction. Redirects are cheap. jni 10:23, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- "French nuclear testing" seems just the sort of thing someone would search on (especially if it Becomes An Issue again) - redirect. Shimgray 12:13, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Redirect: I would much sooner search "nuclear testing" than the ponderous "and weapons of mass destruction." Geogre 15:01, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Very much redir. I know French nuclear testing is a prevalent issue. I have no knowledge of French development of other weapons of mass destruction. Niteowlneils 18:08, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Keep -- This is (or was) a significant social issue in its own right. http://archive.greenpeace.org/comms/rw/rw.html -- RJH 18:14, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- The article is already duplicated in France and weapons of mass destruction. Have a look at that page. If you want to contribute more content, add it to this page. --Viriditas 22:34, 8 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Redirect, but it would be a perfectly valid article if it got enough content. - SimonP 05:16, Nov 9, 2004 (UTC)
- Keep or Redirect. Topic notable, no opinion on whether it should be covered together or separate. --Improv 21:19, 9 Nov 2004 (UTC)

- Because of a nearly unanimous VfD vote, I have taken the liberty of changing the page into a redirect. - Mike Rosoft 12:43, 10 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- Absolutely not! French Nuclear testing was a gigantic issue in Australia. - Ta bu shi da yu 13:01, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
- The subject is big enough for an article, when somebody writes one. For now, redirect or keep. Thue | talk 13:53, 13 Nov 2004 (UTC)
